Nestled at the foot of the Swartberg Mountains, 45km outside Oudtshoorn along the R328, lies Aalwynkoppe—our family farm surrounded by aloes and almond trees.

Nuts about Garlic was founded in 2020 during the nationwide lockdown, born from a need to diversify our income. What began as a humble kitchen experiment soon turned into a passion, and today, we specialize in crafting unique, flavorful pickled garlic using our own perfected recipes.

Driven by family, our two daughters Leah-Maré and Milané are the heart behind the brand. Their energy and joy inspire us to keep growing and to share this once-hidden family recipe with the world.

We believe in more than just garlic. We believe in people. Our business is built on a commitment to empower women and uplift both rural and urban communities by creating jobs and sustainable opportunities. Thanks to the continued support from our customers, this vision becomes more of a reality every day.

On our farm, we grow and harvest fresh garlic, which we offer in both bulk and smaller quantities. We also proudly support local and small-scale farmers who grow garlic for us during off-season periods.

The name Nuts about Garlic is a playful nod to our two main crops—garlic and almonds. We are currently expanding our product line to include innovative combinations such as Almond & Garlic Salad Toppings, Almond & Garlic Salt, and savory purées.
